XII All-Russian scientific and practical Internet-conference «Youth in the modern world: problems and prospects» were held from May 27 to June 2, 2016.

For discussion the following issues were proposed:

1. Political literacy and civic engagement of youth. Formation of national and socio-cultural identity.
2. The legal status of young people: national and international aspects.
3. Socio-economic problems of youth in the modern world and the ways of their solution.
4. Family and marriage as a social institution and their development.
5. Spiritual and moral values and culture of the young generation.
6. International movement of the UNESCO: problems and prospects of the activities in the context of contemporary international relations.
7. The role of trade unions in dealing with youth employment issues.
8. Information technologies as the factor of socialization of young people.
9. Volunteering. Children’s and youth’s public organizations.
10. Physical education and sport among younger generation.

The conference languages were English, German, French, Ukrainian and Russian.

Over 100 people took part — representatives of Russian regions and abroad.

Discussion materials were published in the XII All-Russian scientific and practical Internet-conference «Youth in the modern world: problems and prospects». It presents the results of research on the social, legal, cultural and other youth issues. The subject of scientific examination were constitutional rights and freedoms of young people; transformation of their sense of justice in the context of globalization; globalization as a factor in the modernization of the social values of young people; youth and society: social adaptation problems; youth volunteer movement; intercultural dialogue as a implement of a tolerant personality formation; cultural values, and others. The authors analyze not only theoretical material, statistics, results of surveys, but also try to determine a resolution of any situation, to give concrete and practical recommendations.
