Building Lifelong Learning Systems: Skills for Green and Inclusive Societies in the Digital Age

From 21 to 25 June, the European Learning Foundation, together with UNESCO, organized an online event “Building Lifelong Learning Systems: Skills for Green and Inclusive Societies in the Digital Age”.

The conference, organized in cooperation with the EBRD, ILO and UNICEF, had a dual purpose: to create a forum for joint analysis of national and international experience in the field of transformation of lifelong education and training systems and to approve priorities for future cooperation in the field of human capital development against the backdrop of global events and such challenges. like the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday 24 June, the high-level meeting was attended by: Cesare Onestini, Director of the European Training Foundation; Nicolas Schmitt, European Commissioner for Employment and Social Rights; Stefania Giannini, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education; Patrizio Bianchi, Minister of Education of Italy (Chairman of the G20); Branko Ruzic, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development; Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.
