In the spotlight — the system of secondary vocational education

Two significant events: a meeting of representatives of the executive power in the sphere of education of the Volga Federal District and Round table “Models of training and professional development of teachers for secondary vocational system education” took part in the framework of the Education Forum “Education. Science. Career 2015” in our institute, which has the status of UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre in the Russian Federation on February 26, 2015. 

T.A. Nigmatullina, the director of our institute, the head of the UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre greeted the audience. She shared her experience of college work, spoke about the projects in education and science, the organization of the Center for additional vocational training.

The moderator of the meeting was D.A. Burunkin, Deputy Head of Ministry Department of Education and Science of Russia. The main issues were raised by participants are the subjects’ realization of inter-agency cooperation in the Russian Federation to increase the proportion of the employed population aged 25 to 65 years by 2015, who pass training.

Round-table discussion led I.A. Chernoskutova, Head of Ministry Department of Education and Science of Russia, and V.J. Shevchenko, the vice-rector of the Russian State Professional Pedagogical University. Among the participants of the Round Table were I.A. Korshunov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Nizhny Novgorod region; I.V. Tchistova, director of State Budget Educational Institution of Mari El Republic “Scientific and Methodological Centre for Vocational Education”, S.A. Yefimova, director of the Center for Professional Education of the Samara region, A.G. Zalyalova, director of the Kazan classical college, the representatives of the colleges of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the teachers of our branch.

Questions have been raised for discussion, aroused the interest of the audience. It was about the problems and ways of development of regional system of pedagogical employees professional skill improvement, a unified educational system “production — SVE”, the organization and content of the continuing education of pedagogical workers SVE, professional standards of vocational training of the teacher as a resource for management development training of teachers.

The discussions were stormy: someone did not agree with something, someone suggested a different approach. But in the dispute, as we know, the truth is born. All participants agreed that the Round table has clarified many questions for them.
