Under this name, on October 9, a webinar was held in the format of a Round table, which examined the key factors of successful university management, issues of personnel policy and human capital development in the context of rapid changes in the educational environment and growing requirements for higher education institutions.

World Cleanup Day is a day when the entire planet (over 180 countries, and in Russia, over 50 regions) comes together to clean up natural areas.

Naturally, the BIST community couldn’t stand aside. On Saturday, September 20, on World Cleanup Day, officially established in September 2018, students and faculty of BIST conducted a clean-up not only of the university grounds but also participated in an environmental campaign initiated by the leadership of the capital of Bashkortostan.

On September 2, 2024, BIST held its Knowledge Day celebration, marking the beginning of the new academic year. The event brought together students of all years, faculty, staff, and parents of first-year students.

The ceremony commenced with an opening speech by the Institute’s director, Tanzilya Altafovna Nigmatullina. She congratulated everyone present on the start of the academic year, wishing the faculty and students success and new achievements.

At the end of August, the Student Council of BIST initiated a greening campaign on the university grounds. The campaign received support from both BIST students and staff: trees and flowers were planted, trash was collected, and the area was transformed.

On August 12, students of BIST, including new students who had successfully passed their entrance exams, celebrated International Youth Day. Established by the United Nations at the end of 1999, it was first celebrated in 2000 and has been held annually ever since. The purpose of this holiday is to remind us of the role young people play in development and peacebuilding, as well as the everyday challenges they face.

BIST hosted Eco-Days in July, with student volunteers participating in a roundtable discussion on ecological challenges in Russia and worldwide. They explored methods of waste collection and recycling, and the principles of environmentally friendly living. Eco-activists emphasized the importance of preserving the environment and its role for humanity.
